All those staple greens listed  are a healthy choice which can normally be fed on a daily basis. The majority of those listed have a higher than average calcium content, without having excessive oxalates. Note: Butternut squash is higher in sugar. © BDUK

The occasional greens listed above make a suitable addition to staples, and will help keep your dragon’s diet interesting, especially knowing how fussy they can be. They won’t offer quite as much calcium, or provide the same high nutritional value, so ideally each chosen item should be given in smaller amounts, typically just a couple of times per week.

The rare treats listed above are considered less beneficial to their needs nutritionally; therefore amounts given should be limited to very small amounts only and fed seldomly. This is because they may have higher levels of phosphorous, oxalates, and goitrogens, or excessive amounts of some Vitamins, so are best avoided completely where possible.  © BDUK
